GREAT MESSAGE TO COMRADES

We are few months to election and the campaign mood is firing up. Few unusual events have started uncovering themselves. You will see the village tycoons who have been spending their better part of life in the city hanging around in the local bars. Idle youth will of course be admiring while debating about the price of their luxurious cars packed in the village market fields. The alcoholics who have been waiting for this moment anxiously will be leaving their farm  at noon to have wanasiasa quench their unending thirst at the local bars. Again you won't need to ask who are the old wazee conversing in seclusion .They are the local political analyst deliberating on the affairs of the state.
I hope i am not driving you to the world of fantasy. It is the reality. Expect to regularly get disturbed by the politicians begging for your votes.
I recently got added to few political whatsapp groups. I took them as an opportunity to share light to my fellow youths. What's happening in them is however so alarming. You won't be surprised to meet village mates hurling insults to each other just because of their minor political difference. Others will choose to use impersonation to justify their political stands unconscious of the imminent perils.
Politicians have realised a lot of potential in youths especially the university students. Don't be surprised to see your local MCAs aspirants befriending you. They are being used by bigger politicians to use you to blabber, rumour monger, impersonate and do a world of evil things on social media. Of course at their own favour. But did you know; its wrong to impersonate or falsely speak ill of someone through social media, spreading information that can propagate tribal war is punishable. If you got to know the consequences of such actions then you will get a reason to be different.
Youths! Its time to stand to be counted. Lets not sell out rights so cheap. You will vote them in and they will become mteja. What matters  is the quality of people you vote in. And above all maintain your friends despite of your political difference-you need them in future. Never betray your conscience and good God-given brains because of tribal affiliations. We are all Kenyans. Kenya is bigger than our clans and tribes. Let us focus on building this beautiful country.

COMRADES WATCH OUT-The new theft trick in the hostels

Electronics gadget are the most important assets to a university student. More specifically phones ,tablets and laptops have over the years made the life of a comrade more comfortable. Robbers, some of who are fellow students, have however invented their way of pocketing these gadgets.
Today i was waken from my hostel room at around 3:00 am by some noise. I didn't love the idea of cutting short my sleep until someone knocked hard my door.
'Brathe toka bana, phone zimesanywa'. That was a enough statement to bring me from the land of confusion.( Of course i do treasure my phone much). Many phones were missing .Thank God mine survived.
So ,what is this trick that is helping them reach out for your device. They have realised that;in rainy seasons student feast on Ugali and sleep dead, many students rarely close their windows, in many rooms tables are placed near windows (of course for light during the day) and that's where we leave our gadgets charging when we sleep.
With these discoveries, all they have to do is wait for that day rain pour heavily. They walk around your hostel checking the windows that are not locked. They will stretch their hand to the table. If your phone is there, they will be kind enough to leave your simcard.
So watch out!

NOT WITHOUT GOD

Hello dear readers. I found this message beautiful and timely.
I will confess that i am a go-getter type-that person who will endeavor to beat all odds to get that which brings happiness. Over the recent past,i have been characterised by restlessness thinking on how i could make a difference in my life. My efforts have however not been so rewarding. But i guess i got the answer today. This message 'not without God' hit me hard.
Could you be that young person who has always had wild dreams? To own the world may be? To be the richest creature on earth? Or may be to be so powerful and influential. Then i have a beautiful message for you. Your dreams are valid but NOT WITHOUT GOD.
I will briefly take you to the history of Israelites. God used a number of encounters to reveal to these people that it was not because of their strength, intellect, strategies or numbers that they fought winning battles. It was because of their walk with him. Recall the time of Gideon in judges 7, when God had to reduce the number of armies to reveal his might.
So could you be that person who prioritise your personal business at an expense of service to God. Cool. The world is lying. Money will buy you bed, God will give you sleep. Money will take you to the best universities, God will give you the brains to handle daily hurdles. World will give you riches, but God will give you happiness. Doctors will give you treatment, God will give you healing. And after all God will give you eternal life.
You wish to be successful! Then you need God to part of your success story. Blessed day

Got smooth or made smooth?

My week has been so busy and so was today .It was not until 5:00 PM that i got all the reason to smile after the tedious series of lessons came to an halt. Being on Friday I resolved to give the weekend a good start. After a short engagement with my brains I chose to trek around the school vicinity as the first step to break the so called monotony.
I had already relieved my brains from thinking hard until I met these two guys. A well looking guy had just arrived and was alighting from a Nissan matatu when a another guy called from a distance in a kichuka dialect,"Niatia bwana. Kurukira baba ukimathira Mandu maku nimabuire."(Hey man, pass by and sort me something. You life go smooth.)
It was  not the first time I was hearing such words.Infact I expect the same some days to come. The last phrase however got me thinking hard expecially in regard to a person who has gone through university.;Life got smooth?,did it just happen?
Do these 'sort me 'guys know of the much suffering the comrades have endure through the campus life? Do they know  how they sometimes have to wake so early to make life smooth?Do they know? Do they know a number of times students have to sacrifice their ego queueing at the phosho mill? Did they know Ugali and porridge could turn into favourite meal by default? Do the they know all this?
I feel if this 'sort me' guy saw things from my point of view he would have opted for less offensive words like;YOU MADE YOUR LIFE SMOOTH.
Dear reader what's your opinion regarding the sahttps://youtu.be/YrUMZSA3FvIme?
